Lunch Buffet at Lime @ PARKROYAL on Pickering

Untitled2

Being a small eater, I was not very agreeable when my sis suggested having buffet for lunch. I could never eat my money’s worth. However, she insisted that Lime @ PARKROYAL on Pickering had excellent reviews and it was noted for its modern and upscale architecture.

And boy was she right! Look at all the lovely floor to ceiling windows, letting in all the gorgeous natural lighting. Also, the setting was very comfortable and welcoming. The buffet had an awesome spread and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I think people who do not frequent the CBD area (like me) will not know about this beautiful greenhouse-like structure, which O’Coffee Club  is housed in, right in the middle of Raffles Place.

I was invited for a Christmas High Tea during the weekend to sample some items from the O’Coffee Club’s Festive Menu “My Favourite Things.”

Coastes: Great Hangout by The Beach

Untitled

Coastes is one of my absolute favourite places to hang out and I think I fell in love with it on my very first visit there about a year ago. Nothing beats having a good view of the beach, no deadlines to meet and plenty of satisfying good food around.

The eatery is situated along Siloso Beach at Sentosa, and nestled among the coconut trees. It is a place with numerous blue, white and brown tables, huge beige beach umbrellas, as well as a stretch of sunbeds leading all the way to the edge of the water.

Let us be realistic, the beaches in Singapore will never be able to compare with the famous beaches in our neighbouring countries, but this is as good as it gets for a Singapore beach.

Two Good Hangouts: Privé and Portico

Untitled

I found two good hangout spots for lunch last week with a few of my good friends. The first is Privé @ Chijmes and the other is Portico, both coincidentally start with ‘P’.  I enjoyed the food and relaxing ambiance of both restaurants.

1. Privé @ Chijmes

If you have been to Chijmes, you will know that this historic building dating back to 1841 which has been converted to an entertainment complex is filled with restaurants and cafes. While it may have undergone extensive development and reconstruction, the remarkable facade as well as area filled with rich heritage remain unchanged.

Privé is one of the restaurants that have set up shop at this unique venue. The restaurant is made up of a combination of indoor and alfresco dining areas. Its glass doors can be tucked away to create a huge open space, which makes it perfect for a casual weekend or a get-together with family and friends.
